Last week was a busy one for Spears Marketing. Besides picking up two new clients, I had the opportunity to present to the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce CEO Roundtable Group “Online Marketing for Off-line Businesses.” A fun and informative session, it was laid back and filled with questions, answers, and hearty discussion.
On Saturday, the annual Podcamp Nashville conference was held at Cadillac Ranch in downtown Nashville. Billed as the “interactively savvy un-conference,” Podcamp is a forum for bloggers, marketers, content creators, educators, podcasters, and more to gather, network and learn about the latest trends, tricks and technologies in the interactive world – ultimately making them the superlative gurus in online communications.
One of the great features of Podcamp is the “impromptu sessions” where someone can sign up to give a talk on a specific topic in their area of expertise. Being a firm believer in taking action whenever an opportunity presents itself, I signed up to speak on the topic which I work in every day, online marketing for local brick and mortar businesses.
Since I had already posted the presentation slides from earlier in the week to SlideShare, I was able to access them online for the presentation. Although a few technical difficulties presented themselves, and the allotted session time was shorter than ideal for the topic presented, the attendees seemed to enjoy the talk and had multiple questions both during and after the presentation.
Since I was able to capture the audio with a voice recorder, I’ve included it here along with the presentation slides for your listening and viewing benefit.
